Draft for review
This document is a draft prepared for review. It has not yet been reviewed by legal counsel.
Asset Fetch handles families' financial documents. We treat the information you give us with the same care we would want for our own family's records. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
1. Who we are
Asset Fetch is a financial asset recovery consultancy based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. In the language of India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the "DPDP Act"), we are the Data Fiduciary for the personal data described below. You are the Data Principal.

2. What we collect through this website
The enquiry form on this site collects only:
- Your name — so we know who we are speaking to.
- Your phone number — our primary means of reply.
- Your email address — optional; used only if you provide it.
- The type of asset you are enquiring about.
- Your message — whatever you choose to tell us.
We do not ask for, and you should not send through this website, any PAN, Aadhaar number, bank account details, folio numbers, death certificates, or scanned documents. Those are collected later, directly and securely, only if you engage us.
3. How the enquiry form works — please read this
When you submit the enquiry form, two things happen at once.
First, your details are sent to us. We use a third-party form service, Formspree, to receive them and deliver them to info@assetfetch.in. Formspree acts as a Data Processor on our behalf, and its servers are located outside India, so submitting the form involves a transfer of your details abroad.
Second, WhatsApp opens with the same details composed into a message, so that you can send them to us directly and continue the conversation there. Once you press send, that message travels through WhatsApp and is therefore also governed by WhatsApp's own privacy policy, over which we have no control.
Because the two happen together, we receive your enquiry even if you close WhatsApp without sending — that is deliberate, so that an interrupted chat does not mean a family loses its place with us.
If you would rather not use either service, email us at info@assetfetch.in or call +91 80190 60000 instead. Both reach us directly.
4. What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal data. Not to anyone, for any price.
- We do not share it with marketers, lead brokers, or data aggregators.
- We do not run advertising trackers or third-party profiling on this site.
- We do not contact you about anything other than the enquiry you made.
5. Why we process your data, and on what basis
We process the information above for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry and, if you choose to engage us, to carry out the recovery work you ask for. Our lawful basis is your consent, given when you submit the form or contact us. You may withdraw that consent at any time (see section 8).
If you engage us, we will separately collect the documents a recovery actually requires — identity proof, folio records, succession documents and similar. That collection is governed by our engagement letter as well as by this policy, and each document is used only for the specific claim it belongs to.
6. Who else sees your data
To do the work, we necessarily submit documents on your behalf to third parties — Registrars and Transfer Agents, companies, banks, insurers, the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority, and similar institutions. We share only what a given claim requires, only with the institution that requires it, and only with your authorisation.
We also use two service providers in the ordinary course of receiving enquiries: Formspree, which delivers website form submissions to our inbox, and WhatsApp, where enquiry conversations continue. Both process data on our behalf and hold it on servers outside India. Neither is permitted to use your details for their own purposes.
We may also disclose information where the law compels us to. We do not disclose it otherwise.
7. How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become engagements are deleted within twelve months. Records of completed engagements are retained for eight years, which reflects the period during which a claim, a regulator, or an institution may reasonably require them to be produced. After that they are securely destroyed.
8. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may:
- Ask what we hold about you and how it has been used.
- Correct or complete anything inaccurate.
- Ask us to erase it, where we are not required by law to keep it.
- Withdraw consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- Nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become incapacitated.
- Raise a grievance with us, and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India if we do not resolve it.
To exercise any of these, email info@assetfetch.in with the subject line "Data request". We will respond within thirty days.
9. Security
This site is served over HTTPS. Client documents are held in access-controlled storage, and physical files are kept in locked storage at our Hyderabad office. Access is limited to personnel working on your matter. We will tell you promptly if a breach affects your data, as the DPDP Act requires.
10. Cookies
This website sets no tracking or advertising cookies. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address as part of serving that request. No other third party receives data from this site.
11. Children
This site is not directed at children under eighteen, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Where a minor is a legal heir in a recovery matter, we deal with their parent or guardian.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be noted here.
